This is a practical, easy to build general purpose 50 watt amp. The amplifier has input for radio, TV, stereo or other line-level devices. It also has a phono input for turntables, guitar, microphone or other non-amplified source. With the addition of a low pass filter input is a great amp for a small subwoofer.

This is a stronger type. It features mute and stand-by functions, which require some additional discrete devices. The rest is just the common op-ampish and power-ampish stuff. I’ve never built this one, so I’ve got no suggestions concerning practical construction. Link
