Simple FM Transmitter
Sunday, February 14th, 2010

This circuit uses a small microphone to capture the sound and some transistors to generate radio waves that can be picked up by a FM receiver like a car stereo.
From left to right, the first part is the microphone and some resistors to get it working. Next we have a capacitor and the first transistor, [...]

FM TRANSMITTER one Transistor with 2N3564
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

A truly minimalist circuit. Performance is relatively poor and stability is a problem. Q1 modulates the signal and acts as an oscillator. L1 and C5 determine the frequency. Decrease C5 for a higher frequency and vice-versa.
You won’t get a long range transmission with this one. The author claims 50-500 feet. A lot depends on the [...]

2 Transistor Transmitter by 2N2222
Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Transistor T1 works as an audio preamplifier, gain is fixed at approximately R2/R1 or 100 times. The audio input is applied at the points LF in (on the diagram). P1 works as gain control. After amplification this audio signal now modulates the transmitter built around T2. Frequency is tunable using the trimmer CT and L1 [...]
